F-2025-0001 — Foundational Charter

Status: Canonical governance document.

Establishes the core identity, intent, and philosophical basis of the Diné, Janeth & Fandleran Reliquary. Defines the archive as a private custodial entity dedicated to preservation, documentation, and long-term stewardship rather than commerce, exhibition, or speculation.

This charter serves as the highest-level authority from which all subsequent governance documents, accession practices, and publication decisions derive.

F-2025-0002 — Attribution, Authorship & Custodial Language Canon

Status: Canonical governance document.

Establishes authoritative rules governing authorship, attribution, and custodial language across all Reliquary materials. Enforces a clear distinction between human preparation and institutional stewardship.

Codifies the principle that individuals author and prepare materials, while the Reliquary serves as the custodial entity. Prohibits language implying institutional self-authorship and preserves clarity between authorship and custody in public and internal contexts.

F-2025-0007 — Public Exhibition & Select Gallery Statement

Status: Canonical governance document.

Defines the principles governing the public exhibition of select materials through curated presentation. Establishes that exhibition is interpretive rather than comprehensive, limits disclosure, and affirms that the Provenance Archive remains the authoritative public record for published reports.

F-2025-0011 — Access & Use Policy

Status: Canonical governance document.

Sets the terms under which public-facing records may be accessed, cited, and referenced, while reaffirming that the Reliquary is a private archive with selective disclosure. Establishes citation expectations and restrictions against misrepresentation or commercial reuse without permission.

F-2025-0012 — Deaccession & Transfer Policy

Status: Canonical governance document.

Defines ethical and procedural grounds for concluding custody, transferring stewardship, or deaccessioning artifacts while retaining the historical record. Prohibits deaccession for purely financial motivation and requires preservation of documentation even after custody ends.

F-2025-0013 — Custodial Continuity & Succession Policy

Status: Canonical governance document.

Establishes continuity rules to preserve record integrity across generations or custodial transitions. Protects against retroactive alteration, fragmentation, or dissolution of the archive, and affirms that successors inherit stewardship responsibilities rather than authorship.

F-2026-0009 — Statement on Naming

Status: Canonical governance document.

Addresses the origin and intent of the name Diné, Janeth & Fandleran Reliquary. Clarifies that the name was created as a personal, familial designation reflecting lineage and continuity, and is not intended to reference, represent, or derive from Navajo identity, history, or culture. The Reliquary is a privately held archival collection and is not affiliated with any Indigenous nation or organization.
